Earlier this week, we were disappointed to inform our social media following that Busworld Europe 2021, a key event in the Mobility Networks calendar, has been cancelled.
Originally planned to take place in Brussels, Belgium on 9th – 14th October 2021, the tough decision was made by Busworld (B.A.A.V.), the organiser behind the trade show.
Everyone here was looking forward to being in the Belgian capital, but given the current global situation, it’s a decision that we respect and wholeheartedly agree with. Mieke Glorieux, Managing Director at Busworld, informed us of the decision after consulting with key OEM’s.
Given that this year would be their 50th, one which should be full of celebration and reflection, there is no doubt that this was a tough decision for Busworld to make. However, in sharing one of our own core values in safety, we understand that the uncertain nature of the COVID-19 situation in Europe made the position untenable.
We look forward to returning to Belgium in 2023 for the next planned edition of Busworld Europe, when we hope the world will be a much safer, normal place.
