Rehacare 2016 delivers success for vehicle access innovations from Mobility Networks

Mobility Networks, the worldwide specialist in wheelchair access solutions for vehicles, has received healthy enquiry levels regarding its range of pioneering new products launched at Rehacare 2016 (Hall 06, Stand D64, Messe Düsseldorf, 28 Sept – 1 Oct).

Mobility Networks is a trusted supplier of quality wheelchair lifts, ramps and other wide-ranging access products for the bus, coach, PCV and wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) sectors. Through a network of global offices, suppliers and in-house manufacturers such as Passenger Lift Services (PLS) and Caroil, Mobility Networks delivers the best products internationally whilst offering regional servicing and support. The Mobility Networks’ product showcase at Rehacare 2016 represented a significant development in the vehicle accessibility industry as several new innovations were debuted for commercial and domestic vehicles. The experienced Mobility Networks’ team was busy throughout the show demonstrating the following new products:

  • NEW FlexisRamp – a 2-piece folding inboard vehicle ramp
  • NEW FlexiStep – a lightweight aluminum external vehicle step
  • NEW FlexiWinch – a reliable and safe powered wheelchair winch for rear access adapted vehicles
  • NEW FlexiWAV lowered floor kits – pre-engineered floor and tailgate ramps that convert OEM vehicles into WAVs
  • NEW FlexiSeat – high quality coach/mini-bus vehicle seat
  • NEW FlexiRail – rail flooring solution for flexible seat securement
  • NEW CarOil automatic cassette lift and fully powered cassette ramp
  • NEW Caroil Traxx lift for smaller accessible vehicles
  • ENHANCED Access™ ‘H’ Mini-bus cassette lift – lighter and stronger with new positive locking handrails and flexible-edged roll-off stop

The FlexiWAV conversion kit for the Ford Connect drew particular interest from many visitors and significant orders were placed for the FlexiSeat, FlexiRail and new Access ‘H’ lift from PLS. Mobility Networks also received an interesting order from a domestic customer who was seeking a solution to lift several dogs. As the CarOil underfloor cassette lift delivers such smooth and quiet movement, it was deemed ideal for the owner so that her dogs would remain calm during transfer into a vehicle.

Mike Simmonds, Mobility Networks CEO comments: “Rehacare has once again delivered great results for our customers and our business. We were able to discuss and demonstrate all our new innovations whilst solving the current needs of our clients and the access challenges they face. We welcomed many visitors that had flown significant distances to see us, several from Russia, Slovenia, Taiwan and the UAE. With our acquisition of CarOil and the recent launch of North American operations, Mobility Networks continues to strengthen its global presence with a commitment to providing a holistic service. Rehacare was the perfect showcase to demonstrate our all-round expertise and as EMG members, our commitment to access innovation through industry co-operation and networking.”
