Mobility Networks, the world-leading specialist in access solutions for wheelchair accessible vehicles, has successfully introduced its new FlexisRamp, FlexiStep, FlexiWinch and FlexiWAV range.
Mobility Networks is the proven global specialist in wheelchair lifts, ramps and other wide-ranging accessibility products for the bus, coach, PCV and WAV sectors. Established by Mike Simmonds, a highly respected international entrepreneur, this trusted network provides a single source for all the latest accessible transport innovations from around the world.
To add to its current world-class portfolio, Mobility Networks has launched the following new products:
NEW FlexisRamp
This 2-piece folding inboard ramp provides an extremely lightweight and durable solution for safe wheelchair access into a vehicle. Compatible with most M1 vehicles and with a load capacity of 400kg, this ramp is quick to deploy with near ‘weightless’ effort through gas sprung support and aluminum construction. It is anti-corrosive so reliability and durability is assured and any additional vehicle weight is minimized thanks to a lightweight design. The ramp is anti-slip, has raised sides and includes a rubber strip on the leading edge for seamless wheelchair transfers from ground to ramp. When stowed, the innovative ‘Auto lock’ and anti-rattle mechanism ensures the ramp remains secure and does not produce noise during transit. The new FlexisRamp is available in three different sizes and as with all Mobility Networks products, delivers world-class quality and unsurpassed performance.
NEW FlexiStep
The lightweight aluminum FlexiStep is a simple yet effective manual or powered platform that provides an additional step into a commercial vehicle. It is a robust external step that helps a driver access their vehicle more easily especially when loading or unloading cargo. When stowed the step is housed in a protective slim-line cassette box and the electric versions can be programmed to automatically deploy when an adjoining door is opened. Engineered with quality and durable components the FlexiStep is solid and strong with the powered version supporting up to 200kg with ease. There is a variety of sizes available and optional blue or yellow LED edging for increased safety.
NEW FlexiWinch
The FlexiWinch provides a reliable and safe powered method for pulling a wheelchair and occupant into an accessible vehicle via a ramp. It comprises of a fixed motor unit that houses a 5m retracting loading belt with Karabiners that secure to a wheelchair. This quiet and efficient winch delivers a smooth and controlled action with soft-start technology so the loading experience is pleasant for wheelchair occupants. It has several safety features including anti-roll back and obstruction sensors so the user and disabled passenger are always reassured. The easy-to-use hand controller allows the driver or carer to be in total control and with powered assistance, they are less likely to experience muscle or back injury when loading wheelchair passengers.
NEW FlexiWAV lowered floor kits
Each of these new quality kits consist of a pre-engineered floor and tailgate ramp that seamlessly slot into specific domestic cars when being converted to wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs). Mobility Networks provide FlexiWAV kits for a variety of vehicles including the Citroën Berlingo, Ford Connect, Mercedes Benz Citan and Vito, Peugeot Partner and VW Caddy. Significant savings are now available to accessible vehicle convertors through specification of these ‘ready-made’ solutions, as expensive in-house tooling and production is eliminated whilst fitting time is reduced. Each conversion kit is supplied with an in-built wheelchair tie-down and 3-point wheelchair passenger restraint system.
Mike Simmonds, Mobility Networks CEO comments: “We are delighted to now offer our new range of Flexi accessible vehicle solutions across the world. These quality products reflect our commitment to delivering pioneering solutions that excel in terms of safety and performance. As a multi-faceted international specialist, we continue to provide a holistic package of products so all aspects of wheelchair accessibility can be resolved.
