The Mobility Networks Group (UK) completed the merger of Acdeos (Netherlands) on the 29th September 2017. The merger follows a strategic partnership that saw both companies successfully collaborate in design, development, sales and distribution for over 2 years. The management of both companies see the merger as the next strategic step to support further growth and enhanced value to existing and new customers.
Acdeos will bring a wealth of expertise and experience that will further add to the capabilities of a talented Mobility Networks team. The merger of Acdeos is another significant milestone in the creation of a truly global company that provides equipment for accessible vehicles. Working in partnership with our key customers (converters) we are now better equipped to facilitate mobility solutions for more markets and applications.
Lex de Moes initially established the company Acdeos in 2004 and focused on making ramps for city buses. In 2010, Bram van Roemburg joined the company and became a partner 1 year later. Acdeos specializes in the design of ramps and steps. The company is now supplying the 3rd generation of products that have continually evolved and adapted to market and customer requirements. Today, Acdeos is selling and supplying steps around the world with key partners that include Handicare, Schnierle and established partners in China, Australia and New Zealand.
The partnership between the two companies will result in greater opportunities in product development and international expansion, continuing to fulfil the Mobility Networks Group’s brand values of supplying efficient and cost-effective products to accessible vehicle converters, OEMs and Operators around the world.
